Dr. Alana Alford grew up in Durham, North Carolina, and developed a love for animals at an early age. She earned her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from North Carolina State University, with minors in Biology and Zoology. During college, she worked as a veterinary assistant and dog trainer—experiences that shaped her hands-on approach to patient care. She went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Tuskegee University, graduating in 2021.

Outside of work, Dr. Alford enjoys spending time with family, reading, attending live music events, and exploring the beach and mountains. She shares her home with two dogs, Georgia and Luna, who keep her busy and bring her joy every day. Dr. Alford looks forward to meeting you and caring for your beloved pets.
